Here are my final Literal Ads. Doing this type of ad
was not that difficult, what I thought was difficult was for
my campaign to remain consistent. I decided to go with
the slogan, "One is not enough." I displayed this by using
multiple paleta sticks. But to make it more interesting I
decided to create images and actual 3d objects that were
made out of or build from these colorful sticks, also displaying
the flavor of the paletas that we have available at out store.
Creating the uniforms was a challenge but at the same
time fun to do so. I wanted to create something unique
and different but at the same time reflected contemporary
Authentic Mexican. What this means is that we wanted it to be
simple/minimalistic but incorporate colors certain characteristics
that represented the Mexican culture, in this case cut outs. The
designs from the shirts play off the cut outs from the logo. The
apron come in different colors and designed to look like an
authentic Mexican womens apron. We also required to wear
colorful shoes. Colors as well as cut outs played an important
role with in out concept. We based our look on the traditional
fiestas that take place in Mexico in specific loud colors as well
as th papel picado. (Hand made cut outs hung up for all occasions).
The End...for now :)

Branding: you all did a great a job with your branding. Your enthusiasm with the logo, research and team effort made for an excellent concept. The idea of the contemporary Mexican can be explored with many different results, and because it is something new I think you have to learn to trust your instinct as you explore as many possibilities. The idea of using a traditional Mexican craft and utilizing it in a contemporary and alternate way in your advertising and company branding has just started to come to fruition. Congratulations. Perhaps you should have made a list of what you think contemporary is, then what is Mexican and you should continue to explore possibilities – you were only just starting to get it.
