Our next project is to create advertisements that show awareness of a toxic landfills with in our local community. I chose to do a PSA (public service announcement) to stop polluting streets of San Pedro because the outcome/consequences affect residents within the city. An example of this is their water source. The quality has decreased and the toxicity has increased.

HOUSE This is the best one of the 3 . Here you have started to get the notion of the sophisticated with the contemporary image. How the photo sits on the page is really important. They need to look like they are sitting on the ground – objects of beauty. The lighting and space around the object is important. What is the hierarchy? At the moment they are competing. B
ReplyDeleteAdvertising: PICTURE I actually think this has a great deal of potential. It is a very good idea but needs to be executed a little differently. I am not sure how but the idea and image and building in the concept of the contemporary Mexican.
Advertising: FRAME This is the weakest of your images. The image inside and the frame does not work with the frame and because of the flatness of the frame I do not think it works. This ice cream could be more for the adult so perhaps you could have made a sophisticated object, that could appeal to the adult clientele –The fact that you branded it in boxes implies and expensive object not one that is simply a child’s frame. There are so many objects out there that could have been made of popsicle sticks. Your type needs work, Think hierarchy and also the idea of contemporary Mexican. !!
Presentation: Not great - I would really like to go over each piece individually.
Extra Branding : You have such great possibilities, you have a great graphic sense and now you need to work your typography and design hierarchy.
